Purchase tickets either online or from one of the ticket sellers listed at this link. The Game opens at 9:00 a.m on Saturday October 26, 2019. The game ends at 7:00 pm. The cutoff time for new competing players is 5:00 pm. If you just want to play and experience some of the fun after 5:00 pm, but not compete, you will still be let in. The Awards celebration takes place at 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.. Players may line up starting at 8:30 am to pickup their goodybags. The games begins at a location which will be announced on October 20th, 2019 - in Palatine, IL.(Look for the Halloween decorations) Each Player receives a goody bag with items they will need for the hunt. Players need to bring their own smart-phones and have a vehicle, bicycle, rollerskates, or skateboard, etc...to drive around in. Players go to each location and do the activity the businesses have set up for them in their stores. At each location they must get their passport book stamped if they have survived the activity andn want credit for it. The players win prizes for amount of activities finished, speed, and participation effort. Players may start, stop, and re-start the game at any time during the day. This game will only take you to businesses within the boundaries of Palatine.
Businesses register to participate in the game, and host interactive fun activities that are safe, all ages, non-discriminatory, and halloween themed. The idea is to NOT sell the players anything, but to have fun with them. The activities can be anything from scary, to messy, to brainy, to confusing, to random acts of kindness , etc.... Each business receives a basket of items that contains a hint to the next location the players have to figure out and find. These items are handed to the players after they have finished your activity. After the activiy has been completed by the player, the business also signs off on the player's passport.
Community service work is tied into this hunt by the items and services needed around town. Tasty humans are easy to torture with do-good project lures. The organization providing the need also helps monitor the service work to be sure it is completed accurately and to sign off on the Player's passports once they have finished and give them the next clue from the bucket.
Participate by providing funds and materials needed for the hunt.
These are community organizations that provide community outreach messages and training in safety, health and well being. For the game, they also are therefore, a valuable asset in helping slow down the players, so they don't follow each other to each location. (which would make it too easy and no fun).
These invaluable businesses sell tickets to the players in various places around the northwest suburbs or online. Players ought to be very kind to them lest they have a spell cast upon them.
This year we do not yet have an official "Wizard of Training". But if you are a technology expert company and would like to be our wizard for training players on how to use their GPS coordinate finders on their cellphones, please contact us at our online form and we'll get right back to you as fast as our zombie legs can run
Every player is equipped with 1 small bag of gold chocolate coins. The zombies are located around town in various locations and will be protecting the clue bucket there for your next location. The player's task is to outwit, outsmart, and outmaneuver the zombies to get to the bucket of clues. Good luck! The zombie's task is to keep the players from the bucket. And to collect as many gold coins from the players as possible. If a player cannot get around a zombie, they can give them 1 gold chocolate coin to get their clue. Some zombies might be greedy and try to get more... be careful! The zombie with the most uneaten gold coins wins a prize! Yes, there is a gold coin refill station en route for the players. However, a player sacrifices a few points in their game by refilling with coins.
